The "Survival Kit In A Sardine Can" Challenge
I have recently become enamored of the Survival Kit In A Sardine Can, containing 25 survival items, from compass and blade to pencil and tea bag.
My challenge to you: How close can you get to replicating this kit?
I bought a few things from the dollar store and am going to try to assemble this as a little project. Here's what I've got so far:

You could fit more in your shop dish!
To get a bit more space: take only 2 chewing-gums; get rid of the Post-it and fold an A5 paper; discard the twine and get nylon line used by fishermen (smaller and stronger, a couple of $ for far too much); you can cut a bit of the pencil; replace the razor blade by the one used in older razor (in most shop/chemist, comes wrapped in a paper).
That should free up some space.
Then:
For the salt, get the little one from the local fast-food.
For the sugar, same at the local coffee shop.
If your soap dish was in metal, polish one face and you get the mirror.
Fire cube could be cut from the one used for the BBQ.
The little whistle can be found around stuff for kids, sometimes you can even find one with a candy. (Eat the candy and keep the whistle!)
If you go to the hospital (or maybe chemist) you can ask for a sample of alcohol or anti-bacterial wipe and a small tube of betadine (they have the single use one), you should get that for free.
That's all I can think of. You should be able to fit the lot in the soap dish.
