Cool service: Uptime website monitoring service
I love the free Uptime monitoring service. You give it any URL that returns the word "success", and if it ever doesn't, an email will be sent to your inbox, your pager, or whatever email address you like.

You may also try Site24x7 (http://site24x7.com). It offers free monitoring with much more advanced features.

Free monitoring seems to be unreliable. I have already had problems with it. I`ve recieved the word "success" but it was false. I prefer to use paid services such as Dotcom-Monitor. Has lots of features, but still rather cheap.

Noel obviously works at dotcom-monitor. For one thing, his URL is dotcom-monitor. Secondly, "success" is something *your site* returns, not something the Uptime service returns. The Uptime service checks if your site returns the word "success".
